PROSPER OPPONENT WINS LOSSES

VAN ALSTYNE 5TH WHITE 0 8 0 4

Offensive Player of Game: Noah Haq - Baker Elementary Noah stepped up this week when a change in the offensive gameplan necessitated changes on the line. Noah moved from left end to center this week so the offense could work almost exclusively of the shotgun. In spite of only deep snapping for a couple punts all year, Noah did not have a bad snap the entire game while also shoring up the middle of the line to limit penetrations to allow the running backs to room up the middle

Defensive Player of Game: Jameson Ryzner- Light Farms Elementary Jameson was a big part of the defensive revival this week. After giving up 40 last week, Jameson and the rest of the defense stiffen up this week only allowing 8 points. With Van Alstyne in the m of an 8 play drive to open the second half, “Jamo” timed it perfectly and jumped the route and intercepted the ball at the Prosper 20. He returned the returned the ball 22 yards out to the Prosper 42 yard line. Jamo also made several tackles in his first action as strong safety.
