Flower Mound sweeps Prosper out of the Class 6A playoffs 3-0

THE COLONY - Prosper High School (15-4) ran into the buzzsaw that is Flower Mound (21-1) in the regional quarterfinals of the UIL Class 6A volleyball playoffs on Friday, November 27 and were eliminated 3-0 by the Jaguars. Set scores on the night were 15-25, 19-25 and 18-25. 

Top performers for the Eagles were Sami Jacobs with six kills, seven digs and two blocks and Bailey Birmingham had six kills, four digs and two blocks. Ella Chaney got five kills and two blocks. Defensively Riley Price had eight digs and Nikki Steinheiser got seven digs.

Top performers for the season for Prosper were senior Bailey Birmingham 195 kills, senior Sami Jacobs 190 kills, junior Kendall Hewitt 148 kills, senior Taylor Yountsey 111 kills and sophomore Ella Chaney 109 kills.

Junior Jazzlyn Ford led the team in service points with 154 and sophomore Callie Kieffer also had 154. Senior Nikki Steinheiser had 151, sophomore Ella Chaney got 124 and senior Sami Jacobs had 111. 

Jazzlyn Ford led the team with 25 service aces. Sami Jacobs got 22, Callie Kieffer had 19, Ella Chaney got 17 and Nikki Steinheiser had 11 service aces. 

Taylor Yountsey led the team with 47 blocks. Ella Chaney had 39, Bailey Birmingham got 29, Sami Jacobs had 22 and Nikki Steinheiser got 14 blocks. 

Nikki Steinheiser led the team with 220 digs. Sami Jacobs got 204, Jazzlyn Ford had 154, senior Riley Price got 127 and Callie Kieffer had 122 digs. 

Jazzlyn Ford and Callie Keiffer had 422 and 419 assists respectively. 

Nikki Steinheiser led the team with 358 service receptions. Sami Jacobs had 253 and Riley Price got 122 service receptions. 

Prosper won the 5-6A district championship this year.
