Prosper HS sweeps Arlington 3-0
Team advances to UIL 6A playoffs
Prosper High School took one step further down the road of the UIL Class 6A volleyball playoffs on Nov. 24 when they swept Arlington 3-0 to win the Area round. Set scores were 25-21, 25-13 and 25-13.
Top performers for the Eagles were Taylor Youtsey with eight kills and two blocks, Kendall Hewitt with eight kills and Sami Jacobs with seven kills three blocks and 10 digs.
Defensively Nikki Steinheiser had 16 digs. Jazzlyn Ford added 20 assists and two aces. Callie Kieffer also added 18 assists.
Prosper HS (17-3) will now match up against the Number Seven team in the state in the Flower Mound Jaguars (20-1) on Friday night, November 27. The match will be at the Colony HS at 6:30 pm.
Flower Mound defeated Richardson Pearce HS 3-0 to move past the Area round of the playoffs. The two teams faced each other earlier in an August match that was the Eagles first of the season. The Jaguars defeated the Eagles 3-1.
