Rock Hill volleyball secures 3rd spot in District 10-5A
Team to begin inaugural playoff run next week
Prosper HS volleyball beat Coppell in five sets to capture the advance past the bi-district round of the Class 6A UIL volleyball playoffs. After falling behind the first two sets the Eagles fought back to win the last three sets. Set scores were as follows 21-25, 22-25, 25-20, 25-16 and 15-5.
Top performers for the match were Sami Jacobs with 15 kills, 31 digs and four blocks. Bailey Birmingham added 15 kills, Nikki Steinheiser got 17 digs, Callie Kieffer had 29 assists and 12 digs. Jazzlyn Ford got 28 assists and 13 digs, Brie Martin garnered 16 digs and Kendall Hewitt contributed 11 kills.
The Eagles will be back on the court again on either Monday or Tuesday when they face Arlington in the Area round of the playoffs. The time and location are yet to be determined. Prosper is currently ranked number 23 in the state in Class 6A according to the Texas Girls Coaches Association.
