Prosper ISD students return to class Wednesday.  The students will be greeted by school staff, as well as Prosper Fire Department as they enter the school buildings.  Prosper ISD currently has fourteen elementary schools, four middle schools, and two high schools.

“Our teachers, administrators, and support staff have been working hard to make sure that everything is ready for an ideal start to the new year,” information from the PISD communications department said.  “Projections estimate that we will be welcoming more than 22,000 students this year, an increase of more than 2,000 students from last year.  We are looking forward to another year of excellence in Prosper ISD.”

Elementary schools begin at 7:45 a.m. and end at 2:50 p.m., middle schools begin at 8:15 a.m. and release at 3:30 p.m., and high schools begin at 8:45 am and release at 4:04 p.m.  The Town of Prosper Police Department has requested that residents use caution in school zones, especially as children return to school.  “We always want the students to be safe,” Police Chief Doug Kowalski said.
