The Prosper Ladies Association met to host their largest fundraiser of the year - the Boots and Bling Gala.  This party was on March 28 at the 3RS Ranch in Prosper.  Events included dinner, a live band, dancing, auctions, an open bar, and a mechanical bull.  The theme for the year was Ride the Bull. Approximately two hundred people attended the event.

While exact numbers of monies raised is not available, PLA President Chris Anders said “this fundraiser allows us to serve a number of families and children throughout the year.  We regularly give to Christmas Angels, Scholarships, Summer Lunch Program, and emergency aid.  We also partner with other charitable organizations, such as Cornerstone, N3, Clothe a Child, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, ManeGait, and others.  We are so grateful for the generosity and support of the members of our community.”

According to the website, the Prosper Ladies Association is a non profit organization that supports children, families, and other charitable groups in Texas.  They meet monthly from September to May.  Each monthly meeting provides opportunities for members to participate in an opportunity to give to the community, as well as “have fun, make friends, and change lives in our community.”

The next two meetings for PLA are on April 26 and May 10, both at The Gin in Prosper at 7 pm.  More information about the organization, including information about membership is on their website at ProsperLadies.com.
