Prosper fans can celebrate this year’s sports teams and check out the new Children’s Health Stadium this Saturday.

The Prosper Independent School District and Children’s Health leaders are hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony Saturday, followed by Prosper’s Meet the Eagles event, a celebration of the 2019-2020 fall teams and firework show, which is slated to run from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

More than 4,000 people are expected for the pep rally, which will feature performances from the band, Talonettes and cheerleaders.

Earlier this year Children’s Health announced a 10-year partnership with Prosper ISD to become its official pediatric health care provider. The partnership includes naming rights for the school district’s premier athletic complex, educational and promotional collaborations between the two entities, and a full spectrum of sports medicine, athletic health care and virtual health services for schools and youth sports organizations in the Prosper ISD service area.
