PROSPER — Lee Rowden has been a brick wall for Prosper lacrosse over the years as their steadfast goalie, while also being a crucial defensive threat at cornerback for Prospers varsity football team. The dual sport team captain will be taking his athleticism to the NCAA Division I lacrosse program at Palm Beach Atlantic University, Florida.

As a member of Eagles lacrosse, Rowden has developed a laundry list of accomplishments — Varsity team captain from 2018-2019, a save percentage of 64 percent, and was a huge part of the Eagles undefeated 2018 season as he racked up 133 saves and had a Goals Against Average of 4.7.

Rowden’s accomplishments for the Eagles football program is equally impressive — 2017 Academic All-District, 2017 Prosper High School Area Champions, 2018 Team Captain, 2018 Academic All-District, and 2018 District Honorable Mention Defensive Back.

Moving onto the next level, Rowden will be joining a newly formed Palm Beach Atlantic University lacrosse team, the 2019 season will be their second. Their first season in 2018 had its ups and downs, with the Sailfish going 4-12 overall and 1-6 in conference play. Rowden will be looking to help build a winning tradition at Palm Beach Atlantic University, and the duel team captains mindset should be a huge asset for his new team.

Rowden had some words of appreciation towards his family and coaches for helping him through this journey: “I would really like to thank my coaches and my parents for pushing me. I wouldn’t be here without them, constantly pushing me to be my best. My parents have sacrificed so much for me to be where I am right now and I’m incredibly thankful for them.”
