Congratulations to the Varsity Girls’ Cross Country Team on an amazing performance at their Region II-6A District Championship Meet.

The Varsity girls’ team are the Region II-6A Champions. The team has advanced to State; which will take place on Nov. 3rd at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock. Aubrey O’Connell led the way for the Lady Eagles with a 2nd place finish overall competing against 183 runners. Her finish also earned her All-Region honors. Her finishing time of 17 minutes for the 5K reset her previous school record. Huge contributors to the teams’ success are Alexis Svoboda 8th and Tatum Castillo 9th both of these girls also received All-Region Honors. Sadie Gonzales finished 19th, Madi Chisty 445th, Emily Kern 104th and Kirstin Towle 118th. Congratulations to these ladies for an outstanding performance. Come out and cheer on these ladies in Round Rock on 11/3! #YNU

Alex Velez and Andrew Blanco also competed in the Region II-6A Championship. Andrew Blanco finished 39th with a finishing time of 15:56; which was 2 seconds away from breaking the school record. Alex Velez finished 41th with a finishing time of 15:58 for the 5K. This race consisted of 187 runners. Both boys ran a Personal Record. Great job to both of the boys for a job well done!
