From Staff Reports
Jeni Maxton was recently named as the new head coach of the PHS softball team. Maxton has been with the Lady Eagle Softball program for three years and assisted with the Lady Eagle Volleyball program during that time.
Prior to coming to Prosper, Maxton coached softball and volleyball at The Colony High School. She has high expectations for the Lady Eagles, is respected by our girls and will bring a strong commitment to build upon our first season in 9-AAAA.
Maxton comes from the East Texas town of Mt. Vernon. She brings quality experience as a player in high school and college. Maxton started all four years on her high school softball team and had an impressive record as a collegiate player for Ouachita Baptist University. She is the only player in Ouachita history to have played all nine positions. Her competitive nature and relentless determination as a player shines through in her coaching. She definitely has instilled these traits and qualities into our current Lady Eagle Softball Team and will only continue to raise the bar of expectations for our girls.
Maxton currently resides in McKinney and is a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano. She will continue to teach elementary PE at Rucker along with her new duties as head softball coach.
