Robert (Boomer) Thomas Schmitt, age 51, of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, passed away May 30, 2020. Robert (Boomer) was born Feb. 3, 1969, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Carol A. (Antonacci) and the late Louis E. Schmitt. Robert (Boomer) was a graduate of Carnegie Mellon with a triple degree in Economics, Industrial Management & Graphics Communication. Robert (Boomer) started his career at Clarke American in 1991 with multiple job titles such as Project Manager, QA Manager and QA Supervisor in Syracuse, New York. He also worked for Sinclair Broadcasting, Fox Television, in Pittsburgh, as a Media Sales Professional. Robert (Boomer) later became VP of Sales for the family business, Up In Smoke, Inc. in Dallas. Robert (Boomer) enjoyed spending time with his family and especially loved the beach life, golfing, gun collecting with his dad and watching his nephew win a Texas State Championship in lacrosse. He is survived by his mother Carol Schmitt, of Prosper, Texas; brother Dan Schmitt and wife, Jill, of Prosper, and their children, Lexie and Cole Schmitt; uncles Anthony Antonacci and wife, Lynda, of Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania, Thomas Schmitt of Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania, Frank Schmitt of Ogden, Utah, Don Schmitt also of Ogden; Aunt Donna Antonacci Knarr and husband, Dr. Jack Knarr, of Roanoke, Virginia; and numerous other loving family and friends. There will be a service for family and friends on June 17 at 10 a.m. at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Community, at 110 St. Gabriel Way, McKinney (972-542-7170 ext. 225). Robert (Boomer) will be laid to rest in Prosper at Wear Cemetery, 6470 E 1st St., directly after the service. In addition, all family and friends are welcome to join us for storytelling and refreshments at Up In Smoke, 2833 Eldorado Parkway, Suite 308, Frisco TX 75078, after the proceedings at Wear Cemetery.
