A pair of Prosper Town Council seats are open this year.
The names of three candidates will appear on the ballot for the May 2 general election.
Amy Bartley was the only candidate to file for the Place 3 spot that is being vacated by longtime council member and current mayor pro-tem Curry Vogelsang Jr., who is unable to run again due to term limits.
Bartley serves as secretary of Prosper’s Planning & Zoning Commission.
Incumbent Jeff Hodges, who was elected to the council in 2017, will be challenged for the Place 5 council seat by Steve Thomas.
Thomas ran in 2019 for Place 4 against incumbent Meigs Miller, who was re-elected following a runoff election.
Miller has served on the council since 2008.
