We’ve really thought of everything it seems.
We live in a society that literally has everything at its fingertips. We can now fit in one pocket, a phone, a video camera, a calculator, a computer, a GPS system, a newspaper of any world event happening in real time; also in our pocket, we can find the weather forecast, a calendar, a day planner, our email; we can interact with any friend around the world with just a simple click of a button; if something is bothering us, we immediately have an audience of thousands to hear our complaint or praise.
Yes, the world has thought of everything! We now have cars that drive themselves. We don’t even have to go grocery shopping any longer; we can go online, click a button and our groceries can be delivered to our front door.
We live in a world where just about anything is possible. We have the means to travel anywhere we want worldwide. We have the ability to purchase any item known to man and have it delivered within hours if needed. We can have anything we want when we want it. We never have to wait for anything; everything is at our fingertips.
It seems we have thought of everything; can do just about anything and have practically everything, except for the most important thing……
There is one thing this world has not figured out…. This world has not figured out how to live for God. In fact, most don’t even understand why it’s so important to even do so. Many believe it’s a big waste of time!
In actuality, serving God and living for God is the most important thing we will ever do in our lifetime and anyone who chooses not to live for God, will one day feel a regret within them, that the weight of, will never be able to be measured and it will last for eternity, always forever wishing they had made a choice to live for Him.
Currently, in the world we live in today, there are approximately 7 billion, 614 million people living. Thus far, there have been an estimated 38 million births this year and almost 16 million deaths. On average 151,600 people die each day.
These are pretty staggering numbers if you think about it. I wonder how many people of the 151 thousand who died yesterday, knew the Lord as their personal Savior.
A lot of people do not call upon God unless they are in a crisis or when tragedy strikes them or their family. Then, they are praying and crying out to God to save them or help them.
God desires for us to have a daily relationship with Him, not to use Him as a 911 operator.
Satan is very clever and very conniving. Nothing he utters is true, and all of his promises are false and broken. He fills the minds of those who will listen with lies, and he will tell you that God is the one to blame for all the bad things happening in this world. A mass shooting takes place, or something horrific happens, and they immediately say that it is God’s doing and it is all His fault.
Man did choose to disobey God and bring sin into the world. We’ve been living in a world of corruption ever since. God did not create us to be robots, to automatically love Him and to automatically do what is right. He gave us the right and freedom to choose. It’s a choice to accept Him as Lord of our lives and to live for Him. Of course, every decision we make, there is a consequence.
John 3:16 reads, “For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but will have eternal life.”
We are eternal beings. Our souls never die. Your body that houses your soul will die one day but the inside part of you, your soul, will never die! The choices you make here on this Earth while you are living, determine where you will spend Eternity. Eternity means forever; it never ends; it last forever and ever and ever.
Those that choose to accept Christ and live for Him, when they die, will immediately be taken up to Heaven, to live in the presence of God forever, along with all others who believe that have passed on before. There we will experience a place called Heaven that God has created for all those who have chosen Him and have accepted Him into their heart.
Those who choose to not accept Christ into their hearts and have chosen to not live for Him, when they pass away, they will find themselves completely separated from God, but their eyes will be opened. God will reveal to them immediately how much He loves them, and they will feel and understand the regret of not living for God.
The bible says that it is God’s will that no one should perish but that everyone would come to repentance.
I want to encourage you to come to Christ and to live for Him. This will be the greatest decision you will ever make in your lifetime.
Do something to make a difference in someone’s life today.
