On Saturday July 27 The Vistas of Gentle Creek neighborhood hosted its first annual block party. Neighbors, old and new, got a chance to get to know each other. The adults watched as the kids participate in the hula hoop dance and balloon tosses, all while enjoying the beautiful weather and listened to music played by their favorite D.J.
"I would like to thank everyone for helping to make our party the memorable evening it was," said Deborah Daniel, block party coordinator. "As the block party coordinator, I have to say our event would not have been as smoothly run and successful, without everyone’s dedicated time and help."
Daniel said thanks go out to the Prosper Fire Department and Prosper Police Department; Harlan Jefferson, Prosper Town Manager; Dave Bowers; Mr. Kona Ice and D.J. Pat Kelly.
"I truly love my neighborhood and community and after living here for seven years, I think no matter what you believe in, regarding keeping The Vistas of Gentle Creek a wonderful family community where people feel lucky to be a part of—whether it’s having a positive outlook on things, getting involved in something that will benefit our city, joining a club or organization, volunteering, or just being kind to your neighbor—we can all make a difference," Daniel said.
