TULOSO — After four innings Friday night, the Alice Coyotes needed a big rally.

They were trailing North Zone front-runner Tuloso-Midway, 9-1, and in need of a spark.

They got it. However, Alice’s rally was short-lived and simply not enough to overcome the Warriors’ comfortable lead. Alice scored five in the fifth, but ended up losing the 30-5A North Zone finally, 9-6.

The Coyotes put themselves in an early hole because of errors. Only five of the Warriors nine runs were earned. Alice was tagged with six errors in the game.

Alice’s rally began when pinch runner R.J. Carrillo scored on a passed ball, followed by a bases-loaded walk. They Jaramillo hit a two-RBI single to cut into the Warriors’ lead. Josh Trevino hit a fly ball to center which scored Campos.

The Coyotes scored a run in the first off a Mateo Saenz RBI single.
