GLEN ROSE — The defending Class A girls golf state champion Blanket Lady Tigers won the Glen Rose Invitational Monday at Squaw Valley Golf Course, defeating runner-up Class 4A Stephenville by 13 strokes.

The Lady Tigers fired a 356 composite score, followed by Stephenville with a 369 and Waco Midway with a 390.

Reigning Class A state champion Marki Kinkade finished second individually with a round of 82, trailing only the 77 of McGregor's Paige Gilstrap.

Blanket's Cassie Furry chipped in an 88 followed by a 91 from Emily Furry, a 95 from Kenzie Tidwell, a 110 from Shelby Smith and a 125 from Amada Menchaca.
