The Prosper High School tennis program continued their spring success after competing in a tournament at McKinney North last weekend.

The tournament was for the varsity team, and included some big performances from Prosper, who was District 14-5A’s runner up last year in district play. It was a pool-play style tournament with seven pools per division. Each one declared a winner at the end of the tournament.

Among those performances was Brock Ladehoff, who landed first place in his pool for boy’s singles. Arnisa Krasniqi also took home first place in her pool in girl’s singles.

Doubles teams also had a good showing at the tournament. The boy’s dominated the pools, as the team of Phillip Johnson and Michael Mudd finished in first, while Jett Anderson and Josh Stephen followed close behind in second place. The girl’s doubles team of Lilli Watson and Maegan Kaderka finished in second place as well.

“I’m so proud of the team’s effort on the court and how they represent Prosper,” head tennis coach Mandy Bowling said about the team’s performance.

The JV team was scheduled to play the same week, but due to heavy rain their tournament at Flower Mound Marcus was cancelled. They did play at a tournament at McKinney Boyd on Thursday, March 8, however, and those results will be posted soon.

For the Varsity, they will take on The Colony in a tournament on Friday, March 9.
