PROSPER — Following varsity’s first district loss on Tuesday, Sept. 19, the Prosper JV tennis team opened up their district play with a victory over the McKinney North Bulldogs. The Eagles were the winners of a decisive 17-2 match on Thursday, Sept. 21. Coach Mandy Bowling said the team competed very well during the match and were happy to earn their first district win.

“They were so excited to be out [on the court], even a little nervous too, but they all did a great job,” said Bowling.

Prosper tennis will continue next week for both squads. The varsity will play on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 4 p.m. at home, and the JV will be on the road to also play the Colony the following Thursday at the same time.
