PROSPER – With fall sports in full swing, most teams have seen a promising beginning to their season, including the Prosper varsity tennis team. After a bit of a slow start in the preseason, the Eagles have rattled of three consecutive wins in District 14-5A, including a big win against RL Turner on Tuesday, Sept. 12.

The team defeated the Lions decisively, taking a 19-0 victory at home, but the main highlight was intensity of the match despite the commanding performance. Head coach Mandy Bowling said the win was a direct reflection of the team’s determination to push get better each week.

“[The team] works together so well and push each other to be better,” Bowling said. “On top of practicing hard every day, the team focuses on team building and character building which makes the team as a whole so strong.”

Every week, Bowling and her staff continue to emphasize the team’s work ethic on the court. The team’s performance marked Bowling’s third consecutive win as head coach at Prosper High School.

“I am extremely proud of the team, not only because of how they played, but how they represent Prosper so well on the court,” Bowling said about their performance.
