CORPUS CHRISTI — Talk about a homecoming.

South Texas native Jose Trevino, who calls Ben Bolt his home, hit a solo home run to help his Frisco RoughRiders to an 8-6 victory over the Corpus Christi Hooks in Whataburger Field Friday night in his first professional game in South Texas.

The RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, used a four-run ninth inning to come from behind and stun the Hooks.

Trevino went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs. Trevino, who missed some playing time at the state of the season because of a bruised hand, has now recorded an RBI in each of his last four games after not recording any in his first six contests.

Trevino and the RoughRiders have two more games against the Hooks at Whataburger Field at 7:05 p.m. Saturday and 2:05 p.m.Sunday.
