The Prosper baseball team added to their district winning after defeating Carrollton Creekview in a two-series battle at home on April 18 and April 21.

On Tuesday, the Eagles won the game in five innings, as pitchers Jaime Janco and Hunter Prideaux combined for 78 total pitches. Six Prosper players contributed runs to the game, including Braden Carmichael, Kendall Foster, Cody Gallegos, Kyler Grimsley, Taylor Pendley and Braden Webb, Jaden Ford and Zach Wilson with two runs each. After a five-inning run-rule and two errors by the Mustangs, the Eagles were victorious by a score of 10-0.

In the second leg of the series, Prosper traveled to Creekview and picked up right where they left off. Although they did allow one run in by the opposition, the six-inning game was controlled by Prosper, who scored eleven runs in the run-rule victory. Pitchers Braden Carmichael and Spencer Cochran were busy at the mound, as they combined for 90 total pitches. Jacob Costner, Jaden Ford, Cody Gallegos, Taylor Pendley, and Braden Webb each contributed a run to the score, while Kendall Foster, Trenden Starks, and Zach Wilson all had a pair of runs each to bring the final score to 11-1.

The Eagles are now 25-4-1, and have won 12 games by run-rules. They will be back in action this week against Lake Dallas, the first leg on Tuesday, April 25 at Lake Dallas, and Friday, April 28 at home.
