The Prosper boys and girls track teams combined for 21 top-3 finishes at the Princeton Relays on Thursday, March 16.

Both the JV and varsity girls teams finished in third place out of 10 teams after 17 total events. McKinney North and McKinney Boyd took first and second place in each ranking.

The Prosper girls had five first-place finishers, mostly coming in long-distance runs. Madison Christy and Peyton Lammons took first and second place in both the JV 1600 and 3200-meter runs. The varsity girls had Kendall Rose, Tatum Castillo and Emily Patterson all finish in the top three in the 1,600-meter run.

Prosper also impressed in other areas. Both the JV and varsity 4X200 relay teams earned third-place finishes. The lone first place finish outside of running events came from Lexi Lightfoot, who won the JV pole vault.

The boys finished fifth overall in JV and sixth in varsity. The highest finish came from the varsity 4X100 meter relay team, which placed in second. Four of Prosper’s JV participants notched third place individual finishes.

Next up for Prosper track and field is the Dan Christie Relays hosted at PHS on Friday, March 24. Events will begin at 12 p.m.
