The Prosper boys basketball team got underway at The Colony Holiday Classic this week and was playing at the time of deadline.


Prosper (12-4) opened up with a loss, but a thrilling one in double overtime, 64-60 to the hands of Class 6A Hebron.


Three players scored in double figures led by Kyle Jessen and Zach Wrightsil who both had 12 points apiece. Josh Davis added 10 points.


A contested first quarter saw Hebron jump ahead 16-14. Prosper won the second quarter 14-8 to go into the break leading 28-24.


Hebron held the Eagles to nine in the third to take a 40-37 lead into the fourth before Prosper tied it to end regulation.


Each team would score six points in the first overtime before Hebron won in the second overtime with a score of 7-3.


Thomas Jordan added seven points for Prosper while Kaleb Adams had six.


Preston Enloe had a game-high 26 points for Hebron. Nic Mitchell added 12.


Prosper 61, Haltom 49


Prosper rebounded to earn the victory over Haltom in its next game.


The Eagles led throughout before holding off a late rally from Haltom. Prosper led by 10 after the first and 37-18 at halftime.


The Buffs came back by outscoring Prosper 31-24 in the second half, but the deficit was too large to overcome.


Davis had a game-high-tying 18 points while Wrightsil added 13. Taveion White and Jessen combined to score 15 points.


Prosper 57, Garland 45


The Eagles improved to 13-4 on the season with a win in the consolation semifinals over Garland. At the time of deadline, Prosper was playing for the consolation title at The Colony Holiday Classic. Look back next week to for updated results.
