The Prosper boys basketball team, which won the district title last season, opened with a 58-44 home victory over Frisco Lone Star on Tuesday.
Prosper got out to a quick start leading 17-6 after the first quarter, and 32-16 at the break.
Sophomore Josh Davis poured in a game-high 26 points while Kyle Jessen and Zach Wrightsil added eight and seven points.
The Eagles outscored the Rangers 14-10 in the third quarter to take a 46-26 lead into the final frame.
Kris Wafer had six points, Thomas Jordan had five and Caleb Shore and Taveion White had four and two points, respectively.
The Eagles host Argyle Liberty Christian on Nov. 21 and travel to McKinney Boyd on Nov. 29. They host the Prosper ISD tournament Dec. 1-3.
