On Nov. 9, Prosper held a signing day for four seniors. Easton Murrell signed with the University of Arkansas, Abby Gargus signed with Houston Baptist University, Taylor Stevenson signed with Lubbock Christian University and Abby Smith signed with Texas A&M.
Murrell, who helped the baseball team to the 5A state title in 2015, has signed to play at the next level with the Razorbacks.
“I’m so blessed to have the opportunity to play for a program like Arkansas,” he said. “I couldn’t have gotten to where I am today without my family, coaches, and friends to help me along the way. Now let’s go get another ring this season.”
Gargus is on to play volleyball, Stevenson basketball and Smith is set to play softball with the Aggies.
“I had been waiting for my signing day for a really long time, and now that it happened I can’t wait to be an Aggie,” Smith said. “It means so much that I’m able to represent my dream school by playing the sport I love. The day was so great because I had all of my friends, family, and team there to support me on this big day.”
