From Staff Reports

On Saturday, Jan. 11, PHS swim and dive teams competed at the McKinney Invitational. Head coach Dave Dillon and assistant coach Keith Grissom are excited with the team progress, as they reach the championship season. Dillon gave his thoughts on the PHS performance:

"I thought we had a really good meet. We swam many off events, trying to update some times so that we can make better entry decisions for the championship meets coming up, and I was really surprised by some of the swims. Even swimming those off events, the Girls came up only 10 points behind McKinney Boyd (a 5A team) for second place, and the Boys came in fourth behind the three McKinney Schools. I think that really shows what our kids can do. They have come a long way this year and the upcoming District, Regional, and State meets are going to be exciting," Dillon said.
