Prosper High School swimmers and divers competed Tuesday, Dec. 3 against Frisco Liberty High School and Frisco Centennial High School. The Prosper girls team earned first place overall, and the boys team came in second, falling short against the strong Frisco Liberty Team.
Junior Destiny Nelson swam the 500 Yard Freestyle in 4:59.87, earning her first place and breaking the PHS record (she was just six-tenths of a second short of breaking the FISD pool record). Sophomore Jacob Kopenski added his name to the PHS record board for his swims in the 200 Yard Freestyle, and the 500 Yard Freestyle on Tuesday night.

Girls: second- Long, Palsson, Gardiner, Nelson.
Boys: second-Keffer, Wooley, Ordonez, Kopenski.
200 Yard Freestyle: second-Audrey Cate, third-Kelly Carlin, second-Jacob Kopenski.
200 Yard IM: first-Destiny Nelson, second-Grace Gardiner, second-Max Keffer, third-Luis Ordonez.
50 Yard Freestyle: first-Jennifer Long, second-Brent Wooley.
1 meter Diving: second-Miranda Dymond
100 Yard Butterfly: second-Grace Gardiner, third-Rumiko Onodera.
100 Yard Freestyle: first-Alyssa Palsson, second-Andrew Vogelsang.
500 Yard Freestyle: first-Destiny Nelson, third-Kelly Carlin, second-Jacob Kopenski.
200 Yard Freestyle Relay:
Girls: first-Hailey, Long, Palsson, Nelson.
Boys: third-Kimball, Willit, Kopenski, Wooley.
100 Yard Backstroke: first-Jennifer Long, second-Max Keffer.
100 Yard Breaststroke: first-Alyssa Palsson, third-Brent Wooley, fourth-Andrew Vogelsang.
Eagle Swim and Divers are getting ready for the fast-paced, 4A-Texas Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (TISCA) Meet from Dec. 12-14 at the Frisco ISD Natatorium.
