WorldStrides Heritage Performance programs has invited the drill team from Prosper High School to perform at the 2013 Valero Alamo Bowl. They will join dance, cheer, and drill teams from across the country in the halftime show finale of this major college bowl game.

Under the direction of Holly Haven, the Prosper High School team will travel to San Antonio where they will rehearse with nationally acclaimed choreographers.

Haven has been teaching for three years and will be personally leading the Prosper High School group of 20 students to San Antonio. Haven is excited to have the opportunity to travel to the 2013 Valero Alamo Bowl, set for Dec. 30, on a WorldStrides Heritage Performance program.

The Talonettes will arrive on Dec. 28 and from the moment they arrive in San Antonio until they leave on Dec. 31 they will be working hard. This year the Talonettes will be part of the Alamo Bowl Pep Rally. It is on the River walk and both football teams will be there with their bands and fans in tow. The Talonettes will perform during the half time show of the Alamo Bowl. They receive choreography from top choreographers and will perform with drill teams, cheerleaders and twirlers from all over the United States.

"It is an incredible experience for our girls to represent Prosper at this venue. It is an honor that the Sweethearts of Prosper will be part of the Alamo Bowl again this year," said April Bowden.

The 2012–2013 Talonettes team wrapped up their season last week at the Annual Spring Show. The new team will make their appearance at the upcoming Green and White Scrimmage. The Talonettes will be busy this summer with team camp in Galveston and practice to be ready for the 2013–2014 season.
