From Staff Reports

Cooper Anderson is about to turn 13. And to help young Coop celebrate his big day, the community is planning a Birthday BBQ and Benefit that is set for Saturday, July 27 from 4-8 p.m. at the Wilson Barn located on Coit Road just south of F.M. 1461 in Prosper. Organizers have several events planned including food, music, bounce house, face painting, silent auctions and more.

The theme is camo/duck and "Hey, Jack! It’s a Party." There are fun activities including build-a-beard contests, bubble gum blowing contests, and water balloon fun just to name a few.

There are also incredible items at the silent auction, including Rough Rider tickets, autographed sports memorabilia, full car detailing, pet grooming services, gift cards, etc.

Plano firefighters are cooking hot dogs and hamburgers for all. Birthday cake will be served at 5:30 p.m. The Anderson family has specifically requested for guests to not bring birthday presents, but just come out and enjoy the fun. In February, Anderson was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive form of brain caner, Gliomatosis Cerebri. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Daniel Cooper Anderson Medical Benefit Trust at American Bank of Texas.
