The 2013 Football Sweetheart was crowned before Friday night’s football game against Frisco Heritage. The Sweetheart is chosen by the varsity football players. This year’s winner was McKenna Shirley.
The other candidates were Jacqueline Brauer, Jordan Cobb and Kelsie Mayo.
McKenna Shirley is the daughter of Todd and Stacie Shirley and has lived in Prosper for 13 years, and started kindergarten in PISD. She has been involved in volleyball, lacrosse, Student Council, National Honor Society, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Her plans after graduation are to attend the University of Texas and study either Political Science or Psychology.
Shirley said her favorite part of football season is "seeing the whole school come together as one big family to support the boys each week. She loves the spirit at the pep rallies and games, and how regardless of our many differences, all the students at PHS bond together to cheer on the one thing that unites us all …the football team."
Jacqueline Brauer is the daughter of Ron Brauer and Robin Chatfield. She has lived in Prosper for 8 years.
Jacqueline has been a cheerleader for Prosper High School all four years, a member of National Honor Society, HOSA, and the Mentor Program. Her plans after graduation are to attend Texas A&M University or Oklahoma University and major in Pre-Dentistry or Business.
Jordan Cobb is the daughter of Chris and Suzanne Cobb and has lived in Prosper for 11 years.
While at Prosper High School Jordan has been involved in cheer, high jump, basketball, golf, National Honor Society, Texas Association of Future Educators, Freshman Mentoring, FCA Leadership, and the Ready Set Teach 1 &2 Internship Programs. Her plans after graduation is to attend Texas A&M University and major in Education, and to become a Middle School Math Teacher
Kelsie Mayo is the daughter of Arthur and Kristi Hall and has lived in Prosper for 8 years. Mayo has been involved in volleyball, the work program and the Mentor Program during her time here at Prosper High School. After graduation she plans to attend Oklahoma State University and major in Accounting.
