PHS Senior Signs Baseball Letter of Intent

From Staff Reports

Prosper senior Just Sheets signed last week a letter of intent to play baseball at Northern Oklahoma College in Enid, Okla.

Sheets has played baseball since he was 6 years old. He is a right-handed pitcher for the Eagles baseball team. Sheets said he has always wanted to play college baseball and would like to eventually be a history teacher and a baseball coach.

This past summer, Sheets played with the Dallas Titans. The Titans are a showcase team, meaning they compete in tournaments that are held primarily on college campuses, this allows the college scouts to evaluate the players. During this past year Sheets had conversation with several college coaches, however when we made a trip to Northern Oklahoma College, Justin knew this is where he wanted to play college baseball.

Northern Oklahoma College has amazing baseball facilities for a school its size as well as being nationally ranked seven out of the last eight years. NOC is actually host to the NJCAA Division II World Series tournament at their beautiful stadium.

NOC has seven pitchers that will graduate this year so Sheets will have an opportunity to contribute to this program immediately. He did receive an Athletic Scholarship from Northern Oklahoma .

Sheets lives in Prosper with his mother, Debra Lee, and step-father, Mike Lee.
