America is great, large because we are, historically, a country of immigrants, or descendants thereof.

As immortalized on the Statue of Liberty, "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Of course, newcomers must be carefully screened, but certainly this can be done without the wholesale kidnapping of about 2,000 children, some who depend on their parents for care.

This recent act has not made us "great again" according to the world's opinion of the land of the free and the home of the brave.

But we really do care, don't we?

God, please bless America again.
