Randall County residents living in the Hunsley Hills area have experienced a rash of motor-vehicle burglaries recently, according to Canyon Police Department officials.
The department responded to 13 burglaries Wednesday morning in the neighborhood east of the city of Canyon. The suspects in these cases gained entry to the vehicles through unlocked doors, Canyon PD stated.
Police are encouraging those people with surveillance-camera footage from the front of their residence to review the videos for suspicious activity. Police are asking those residents to contact the department immediately to review the footage before deleting it from their system.
Items reported stolen were purses, firearms, cameras, money, garage-door openers and wallets.
Police officials are reminding residents to remove valuable items from their cars or at least hide valuables from plain sight and to report any suspicious activity immediately to the police.
