It has become a tradition of sorts.
Local musician Buck Fuffalo, also known as Dustin Meiron, gathers a group of fellow artists and together they host a Christmas concert benefiting Foster’s Home for Children.
This year’s event will be held on Sunday, Dec. 10, at T-Birds Garage Pub at Melody Mountain Ranch.
“Not only am I doing this for the Foster’s Home,” he said. “I also enjoy having a Christmas get-together for our songwriters community in Stephenville and this is a nice way for us to have our own little Christmas party.”
And the good news? You’re invited to crash it.
Doors will open at 3 p.m. and the music will begin at 4.
An impressive lineup with more than 20 musicians including Larry Joe Taylor , Kaitlin Butts, Phil Hamilton, Rodney Parker, Copper Chief, James Cook and Jon Young will perform an acoustic set.
“We plan to have three musicians an hour,” Meiron said.
The night will end with a full band performance featuring, of course, Buck Fuffalo.
This is the third annual event, which has raised more than $6,000 for Foster’s Home.
Meiron said another important part of the tradition is teaching his own kids the value of giving back to the community.
“I take my kids and niece and nephew to the store so they can buy toys for the kids living at the foster home,” he said. “That way they learn at a young age the importance of giving back to those less fortunate.”
Tickets for Buck Fuffalo’s Family Christmas are on sale now. General admission is $10 and VIP tickets are available for $30, which includes backstage access and dinner.
Tickets can be purchased at the door or by emailing Meiron at Buckfuffalomusic@gmail.com.
