2. Faith Lutheran School 2017 Golf Tournament: Join Heritage Ranch Gold & Country Club, 465 Scenic Ranch Circle, Fairview from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 6 for a fun morning of golf followed by lunch. This annual fundraiser for Faith Lutheran School will raise funds for school athletics programming and tuition assistance.

Hispanic Heritage Festival: Denton County will celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of Denton County residents whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America. The Hispanic heritage event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 7 at 317 W. Mulberry St., Denton. There will be music, food, vendor booths, door prizes, and family fun.
