Young scientists are invited to take part in an afternoon of hands-on geology experiments Sunday, Sept. 24, at Tarleton State University’s W.K. Gordon Center for Industrial History of Texas.
The free event takes place from 2-3 p.m. for children in third through fifth grades. Participants will discover how geologists search for and find oil in places like West Texas.
Reservations are requested. To reserve your spot, call 254-968-1886 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. One of the experiments will involve the use of candy bars with peanuts. If your child is allergic to peanuts, you might want to bring them to a different free Gordon Center event later this fall.
