Hundreds were in attendance Saturday night for Prosper High School’s annual “Meet the Eagles,” hosted by PHS cheer and the Eagle Touchdown Club.

The event didn’t begin until 8:30 p.m., but crowds showed up as early as 7 p.m. to check out the booths, purchase season tickets, and enjoy a snow cone from Kona Ice.

The Mighty Eagle Band kicked off the event with a few standard tunes to which the PHS cheerleaders, Talonettes and Reynolds Middle School cheerleaders danced to.

Shortly after, members of the fall sports teams as well as the cheerleaders, band, and athletic trainers were recognized. In addition, coaches and mentors of each group gave speeches, all with an eye toward growth and success this 2017 school-year.

The night concluded with a brilliant fireworks display as the band played the school song and everyone in attendance sang along.
