Two people were found dead inside a Prosper home Thursday after police received an early morning report of suspicious activity near the residence.

A press release issued by the city of Prosper said at approximately 4:19 a.m., officers with the Prosper Police Department were dispatched to a home in 1600 block of Hidden Glen Court after 9-1-1 operators received a call of suspicious activity in the area. Upon arriving at the scene, the officers discovered the bodies inside a private home. The statement said a preliminary report indicated the deaths were the result of an apparent murder-suicide and “there appeared to be no indication of forced entry or abnormal behavior.”

They were a married couple and the next of kin has been contacted. Prosper PD has only been to the residence one other time in the last five years on a completely unrelated matter. Prosper Police is waiting on the results of the autopsy before any speculation can be made on which of the deceased is the victim and which is the suspect.

The Prosper Police Department contacted both the Collin County Sheriff’s office and the Texas Rangers for assistance in its investigation, which remains ongoing according to the release.
