The Prosper Independent School District Gifted & Talented Department in partnership with its parent advocacy group, Gifted Minds Prosper, will be presenting a Symposium on Thursday, April 6. The presentation will be at the Prosper ISD Administration Building, located at 605 E. 7th. The evening will begin with a meet and greet at 6:00 p.m.
The first presentation begins at 6:30 and will address ADHD. Melanie Meyer will explore the overlap between the characteristics of gifted students with ADHD and the characteristics of creative contributors. The 7:30 session, presented by Allene Byroad and Kat Baugh, will address anxiety in students and provide parents with practical tools for addressing the stress and anxiety in their child’s life as well as their own.
