A clerk at the Highland Food Mart at 112 N. Coleman St. in Prosper reported an aggravated robbery on Wednesday, March 15 at 9:00 p.m. Police said the victim sustained minor injuries during the event. The suspect attempted to escape on foot.


The Collin County Sheriff’s Office, Celina Police Department, Frisco Police Department and Texas Department of Public Safety assisted in the location of the suspect. With their assistance, Prosper Police were able to locate and arrest the alleged suspect soon after.


Leonardo Gonzalez Jr., a Celina resident, was the suspect that was arrested. The investigation into the motive behind the robbery is still ongoing and thus details regarding the specific items stolen are unavailable at this time.
