After five years of serving as Principal of Prosper High School, Gregory Wright  has officially announced his retirement at the conclusion of the 2016-2017 school year. Wright said he will be moving back to his hometown in Tyler, Texas, to remain close with his family.

Students and faculty were informed about this on the morning of Feb. 7, and since then students and alumni have been posting on social media throughout the day, thanking Wright for his commitment to the students while working in the school district.

Wright said he plans to help mentor the new principal in order to keep the traditions held at Prosper and challenged the student body to grow in being “champions in the classroom” along with everything they plan on achieving.
