The Collin County Junior Livestock Association is hosting the annual Collin County Junior Livestock Show, running from Jan. 9-14 at Myers Park & Event Center.

The five-day show includes poultry, swine, rabbit, horticulture, shop projects, sheep, goats and cattle judging of more than a dozen Collin County FFA chapters representing schools in McKinney, Frisco, Plano and Allen, plus other districts in Collin County. Also represented at the event are several local 4H chapters.

The participants show their individual entries throughout the week and the show culminates with an auction on Saturday. The auction rewards the participants for a year of project development and livestock rearing. The show is an entertaining and educational event for the entire family. Admission is free; concessions are available.
