Cockrell Elementary celebrated Red Ribbon Week during Oct. 24 through Oct. 28. With dress up days, Red Ribbon Week bracelets and a packed assembly with Prosper police officers Rachel Fallwell and Leon Goodman, students learned the meaning behind Red Ribbon Week and how important healthy and sound choices are in our lives.

Fifth graders had a poster contest, emphasizing the meaning behind Red Ribbon Week and making good choices of saying “No” to drugs. Although there were several great entrees, the school chose to share its top four selected posters. These posters not only met the contest’s criteria, but also clearly displayed drug-free messages to the entire school.
